As our beloved country remains reeling from the deadliest mass shooting in its entire history, Attorney General Loretta Lynch remains alarmingly clueless about the nature of the threat we face.
While it should come as no surprise that an Obama-appointed official would not fully grasp the potential danger that radical Islam poses to the free world, the fact that Ms. Lynch holds a position of power so heavily tasked with protecting the American public is something every common sense American should find particularly worrisome.
While more innocent American families await the future slaughter of their loved ones by Islamic radicals already living amongst us, our Attorney General recently vowed to fight such threats with both love, and equality. “Our most effective response to terror is compassion, unity, and its love,” Lynch proclaimed at a recent press conference concerning the slaughter of innocence in Orlando.
Lynch’s strategy to combat medieval barbarism with tolerance is merely an additional revelation that the Obama Administration is willing to gamble with the lives of every single American, in the name of political correctness. To Ms. Lynch, better should Americans die at the hands of Islamic terrorism than someone utter the words Islamic terrorism. For those who find this hard to believe, Lynch’s Department of Justice initially and conveniently edited the transcript of Omar Mateen’s 911 call, in which he proclaimed Islam as his motive for the slaughter he had committed. “What we’re not going to do is further proclaim this man’s pledges of allegiance to terrorist groups, and further his propaganda,” Lynch stated to NBC. “We are not going to hear him make his assertions of allegiance to the Islamic State.” Is there any doubt that if the Orlando massacre had been committed by a self-proclaimed Christian that the full transcript would’ve been released as soon as the DOJ got its hands on it?
Following a public outcry, Lynch and her Department of Social Justice finally caved and released the full transcript. Unsurprising to most, Omar Mateen made a specific reference to ISIS and its leadership as his inspiration. Americans must ask themselves, “How much more of this bloodshed are we going to allow before social justice takes a backseat to safety and common sense?” The safety of you and your loved ones should not be a partisan issue. We simply cannot continue to allow such important positions of power to remain occupied by those who believe climate change to be a greater threat to mankind than a nuclear weapon in the hands of Islamic terrorists. What is so sadly ironic about Ms. Lynch’s delusional calls for “kumbaya” during these increasingly dangerous times is that it is the very concept of equality and solidarity that we risk losing if we do not specifically recognize Islam as the main threat to it. Omar Mateen specifically targeted homosexuals because in America, unlike the Islamic world, we don’t legitimize hanging someone from a crane by their neck simply because of their orientation.
Lynch’s actions in response to the Orlando massacre outline the frightening reality that many of our leaders have become so “tolerant,” that they tolerate the inherently intolerant. While President Obama was expressing his condolences to the families who lost their loved ones at the hands of a jihadist, his administration remains ardently in favor of streamlining the Syrian refugees into unsuspecting American neighborhoods. President Obama can talk all he wishes, but actions speak louder than words. Judging by the actions of an administration that believes in the massive importation of a culture which rejects the humanity of homosexuals, our President has stood clearly and consistently against the homosexual community, and Western civilization in general.
If Loretta Lynch truly wishes to protect the virtues of equality and tolerance this country enjoys, perhaps she might open her eyes to the fact that a vast majority of the terrorist attacks in this country since September 11, 2001 have been committed by relatively young Muslim men, and even in the case of San Bernardino, women. The time has long since passed for the Department of Justice, which resides over the jurisdiction of the FBI, to put aside its political ties to the executive branch, and address the American people honestly about the threats we face. More importantly, it is time for all of our public officials to be held accountable for the decisions they make which affect the safety and preservation of our country, communities, and loved ones. Why is it that almost fifteen years after thousands of innocent Americans perished in one day at the hands of Islamic terrorists that we still refuse to target the individuals at our airports most likely to commit such similar atrocities? We must demand, no more.
Winston Churchill said it best when he proclaimed “We shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.” Churchill’s words are symbolic of our mission and commitment here at ACT for America. No matter the size of the threat we face, nor the cost of eliminating it, we must never give up on protecting our homes, our communities, or this country we cherish so deeply. Join us. Imagine Churchill’s reaction today if he saw the current state of his beloved Britain having been infiltrated by radical Islamists in the name of “diversity.” It’s not too late for America, but if our leaders refuse to act, we must, because the time is drawing ever closer to midnight.
