US NAVAL STATION GUANTANAMO BAY, CUBA—Today, near the media operations center here at U.S. Naval Base Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, pre-trial hearings will continue at the Guantanamo war court.

The facility (which the military does not allow photographs of, for national security reasons) was described to reporters as the “most technologically advanced” court in the United States. The court will host Al Qaeda’s “9/11 Five,” the Guantanamo detainees who allegedly masterminded the September, 11 attacks against America.

Breitbart News will attend the pretrial proceedings Tuesday, in which the alleged terrorists – Khalid Shaikh Mohammed (KSM), Walid Muhammad Salih Bin Attash, Ramzi Bin Al Shibh, Ali Abdul Aziz Ali, and Mustafa Al Hawsawi – will appear in court.

Pakistan-born Khalid Shaikh Mohammed (KSM) is the most recognizable name of the bunch. The international terrorist has been identified as the mastermind of the 9/11 attacks, according to the 9/11 Commission Report. Mohammed may still consider himself an Al Qaeda commander who is at war with America, as proven by the camouflage gear he is allowed to wear in court. Harbored by Qatar for many years, he left for Afghanistan in 1996, where he would form a close relationship with deceased Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.

Walid Muhammad Salih, a Yemeni-born terrorist, helped train fellow jihadis for the 1998 East Africa U.S. Embassy bombings, the USS Cole bombing, and the 9/11 attacks, prosecutors charge. For some time, he acted as bin Laden’s personal bodyguard, according to charges.

Ramzi bin Al Shibh, identified by the U.S. as the “20th hijacker,” was part of the cell of 9/11 plane hijackers who took down the Twin Towers, but he failed to obtain a visa. Authorities believed he was supposed to be the fifth-member of the suicide jihadi team on United Flight 93, which crashed in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, after passengers heroically fought back against the hijackers.

Ali Abdul Aziz Ali, a Kuwaiti citizen, helped the 9/11 hijackers with several logistical measures, including financing, buying them plane tickets, and helping with their pseudo-assimilation into American life, according to the 9/11 Commission Report. Ali is the nephew of KSM and the cousin of Ramzi Yousef, the man who helped carry out the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.

Mustafa Al Hawsawi, from Saudi Arabia, helped bring the 9/11 hijackers into the United States, and is a “senior Al Qaeda member,” according to the Department of Defense.

Together, they are charged with killing 2,976 people. Between them, the jihadis are charged with: Terrorism, murder (in violation of the law of war), attacking civilians and attacking civilian objects, intentionally causing serious bodily injury, destruction of property (in violation of the law of war), hijacking or hazarding a vessel or aircraft, and conspiracy. If they are finally convicted of charges, all five face the potential of a death sentence.
