A crowd of Palestinians cheered when they found out that they had successfully killed a Jewish man, Avraham Asher Hasno, who on Tuesday died after he was ambushed by a riot mob.
Hasno was driving through the Al Fawar junction when he came under attack by an Arab rock-throwing mob. The pelting forced the man – who was targeted because he was Jewish – to step out of his vehicle. Shortly thereafter, a Muslim truck driver proceeded to run the victim over with his vehicle, causing wounds that would result in the innocent man’s death.
The paramedic who first arrived at the site described a scene where the Muslim men loudly celebrated the Jewish man’s death. The paramedic said dozens of the Arabs – who helped with the assassination plot – began clapping when it became clear there was no hope for saving the victim. As the victim lay on the ground, helplessly in pain, dying on the asphalt, the cheers only grew louder.
The Muslim men cheered with “cruelty that is hard to describe among human beings,” the paramedic told Israel National News.
In Palestinian society, where 93 percent of people harbor anti-Semitic attitudes according to polling, the murder of Jews is celebrated, encouraged, and sanctioned by the leadership structure in both the West Bank and Gaza.
The Palestinian Authority, which rules over the Arab-controlled lands in the West Bank, pays terrorists’ families a monthly salary. Its leader, Mahmoud Abbas, has repeatedly incited the murder of Jews in public statements.
“Each drop of blood that was spilled in Jerusalem is pure blood as long as it’s for the sake of Allah. Every martyr will be in heaven and every wounded person will be rewarded by Allah’s will,” Abbas said in September.
In Gaza, leaders have taken to encouraging suicide bombings against Israeli Jews. Hamas, the Palestinian terrorist group that controls the Gaza Strip, remains true to its founding charter, which calls for the extermination of Israel.
