Israeli police have released shocking video footage of an Arab attacking Jews in Jerusalem on Tuesday, during which he first crashed his car into a group of Jews at a bus stop, then leapt out and began attacking the stunned survivors with a meat cleaver:
According to the Jerusalem Post, 60-year-old Rabbi Yeshayahu Krishevsky was killed, while two other people were seriously injured. The rabbi is said to have suffered injuries from both the vehicle impact and the Palestinian’s frenzied knife attack.
The Arab, described as “a resident of east Jerusalem and an employee of Bezeq phone company, Israel’s main telephone service provider” by the Jerusalem Post, was shot and critically injured by police officers at the scene.
The phone company released a statement saying they observed no change in their employee’s behavior that “could have indicated his involvement in criminal and terrorist activities.”
This was not the only Arab knife attack in Israel on Tuesday. At almost the same time, two Arabs attacked a bus in Jerusalem with knives and a gun, killing two and injuring three more, while a short time earlier, there were two separate knife rampages in the city of Ra’anana.
“By 1pm local time three Israelis had been killed in four separate attacks and more than 20 injured, half a dozen of them seriously, as Israeli security forces moved to swamp Jerusalem,” the UK Guardian reports.
“Israel will settle scores with those who are killing and those who are encouraging them. Anyone who raises their hand against us will have their hand cut off,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Knesset today.
Mahmoud Abbas, the autocrat who partially rules over Arabs near Jerusalem, has not stopped the rising level of Arab attacks on Jews, even though has has had strong support from President Barack Obama.
