The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) executed at least 19 women who refused to have sex with terrorists belonging to the group, multiple reports assert.
“Isis [has] executed 19 women in the city of Mosul during the past two days,” declared Said Mimousini, spokesman for the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP). “The penalty decision came on the background of the refusal to participate in the practice of sexual jihad.”
The executions allegedly took place on August 1 and 2, but have not been independently verified. However, ISIS slaughtered 150 females in December 2014 for this exact reason.
“At least 150 females, including pregnant women, were executed in Fallujah by a militant named Abu Anas Al-Libi after they refused to accept jihad marriage,” said Iraq’s Ministry of Human Rights. “Many families were also forced to migrate from the province’s northern town of Al-Wafa after hundreds of residents received death threats.”
Militants claim they adhere to a very conservative interpretation of Islam, yet they run brothels and keep sex slaves. They even allow women from the West to perform “sexual jihad” for the terrorists. A 2013 edict allows this behavior “to boost the morale of fighters.” Islamic State issued its own edict in June after conquering towns in Iraq. Jihadists set up brothels filled with kidnapped females and placed British women in charge. One Yazidi sex slave begged the West to bomb the brothel at which she was held to end her suffering. A video in November showed militants laughing and joking about buying female Yazidi slaves.
In April, Zainab Bangura, the UN envoy on sexual violence, interviewed numerous females whom ISIS kidnapped and forced to be sex slaves. She found what others have previously discovered: rape, slavery, slave markets, and women undergoing surgery to restore their virginity.
“Women and girls are at risk and under assault at every point of their lives,” she explained, adding that the threats lurk behind them “every step of the way … in the midst of active conflict, in areas under control of armed actors, at check-points and border crossings, and in detention facilities.”
She also told journalists about the sex markets the militants throw to sell women to different men. Some women are sold “for as little as a pack of cigarettes.”
“Girls are literally being stripped naked and examined in slave bazaars,” she claimed, adding they were “categorized and shipped naked off to Dohuk or Mosul or other locations to be distributed among ISIL leadership and fighters.”
ISIS released 216 Yazidi hostages after eight months in April. Peshmerga Commander General Hiwa Abdullah said the majority are in bad health and abused. Families told their stories to aid workers, but the most disturbing find was a pregnant nine-year-old girl, who said she was raped by at least ten jihadists.
“This girl is so young she could die if she delivers a baby,” explained Yousif Daoud, a Canadian-based aid worker. “Even a caesarian section is dangerous. The abuse she has suffered left her mentally and physically traumatized.”
“She was sexually abused by no fewer than 10 men,” she continued. “Most of them were frontline fighters or suicide bombers who are given girls as a reward.”
Jihadi bride Umm Summayyah penned an article in the terrorist group’s magazine Dabiq that justified the horrific actions inflicted upon the females ISIS kidnaps as they spread their Caliphate through Iraq and Syria. She said First Lady Michelle Obama is only worth $40 on the slave market.
