The Kremlin arrested Ukrainian Member of Parliament Alexei Goncharenko during the memorial march for Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov.
“Police have detained me,” he wrote on Facebook. “I did not shout anything, did not carry any banners or flags — they simply detained me over the T-shirt.”
A picture on social media shows Goncharenko wearing a t-shirt with Nemtsov’s face and it says “Heroes never die.”
Moscow supporters claim Goncharenko took part in numerous rallies in Odessa, Ukraine, which led to the deaths of pro-Russians. Over 50 people died in May 2014 when a fire broke out at the Trade Union building. Ukraine Today reported that he might “face criminal charges in connection” with that fire.
