Syrian Boy Dodges Sniper Fire to Rescue Young Girl

The Shaam News Network posted a video of a young Syrian boy who ran into sniper fire to rescue a small girl.

The incident allegedly took place in Yabroud, which is along the Syria-Lebanon border. The Telegraph reports people believe “the boy pretends to have been hit by one of the bullets in order to fool the sniper and get a break in the gunfire, before running up and leading the cowering girl out of harm’s way.” Men cheer “allahu akbar” when the young boy stands up and runs to the young girl, who was under a burnt truck in the middle of the road. The snipers continue to fire, but the children “appear to survive.”

The video is not verified, but The Telegraph states experts told them “they have no reason to doubt its authenticity.”
