On October 22, Sergeant-at-Arms Kevin Vickers was the good guy who used a gun to end the terror attack on Canada’s Parliament. On October 23–when he showed up to carry out his Parliamentary duties as usual–he was the hero whom MPs stood to applaud.
In a FoxNews video of Mr. Vickers’ entrance into Parliament, the MPs gave him a standing ovation that lasted over two minutes. As they applauded, Mr. Vickers stood at his post, giving a slight nod to the MPs on his right, then to those on his left–acknowledging their acknowledgement of him.
Once the applause ended, Parliament was called into session, a moment for “private reflection and meditation” was had, and then the MPs sang a rousing rendition of “O Canada.” Throughout it all Mr. Vickers stood at his post, business as usual.
Breitbart News previously reported that Mr. Vickers was the good guy with a gun who stopped the terror attack in Ottawa on October 22. On that day, an armed Islamic convert named Michael Zehif-Bibeau burst into Parliament Hill and was running toward the MPs when Mr. Vickers retrieved his firearm and shot and killed the attacker.
