A new consulting firm in Moscow is promising to provide “special protection” to foreign clients operating in Russia. The firm name says it all: Putin Consulting. The firm is run by President Vladimir Putin’s first cousin once removed.
Roman Putin, who formerly worked for the Russian Federal Security Service, told reporters that he would be effective for his clients because of his “strong relationships with the country’s leadership.”
“Our goal is to facilitate entrance into the Russian market, to minimize the transaction and administrative barriers, and to ensure complex business security,” he said in an online statement.
Putin Consulting is registered in London, and the Moscow Times reports that it has already signed up clients from Switzerland.
No word if Ukrainian companies are seeking Mr. Putin’s help for “protection.”
