January 23rd marked one year since then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s Capitol Hill testimony about the events that transpired in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012. A year after her testimony, Americans are still waiting for basic answers about what exactly happened that day when four brave Americans lost their lives and why.

It took four months from the time of the terrorist attack in Benghazi for Congress to get an audience with Secretary Hillary Clinton. In that testimony, Hillary uttered words Americans soon won’t forget in response to Senator Ron Johnson’s (R-WI) line of questioning about what triggered the attack that led to the death of four Americans, including Ambassador Chris Stevens: “What difference, at this point, does it make?”

It was chilling to hear those words then, and a year after her testimony, with Americans still waiting for answers, it’s even more chilling today. We have been forced to wait far too long for answers about what happened that dark day, and the time for answers is now. The Obama Administration is not being forthright and hasn’t been from the very beginning. Congress has not been aggressive enough with oversight.

We partnered with Representative Frank Wolf last year, helping bring attention to his mission to create a select committee in Congress that would conduct a thorough investigation into what happened in Benghazi. That effort garnered the support of a majority of the majority in Congress, but still there was no action. It’s time for Speaker Boehner to take action and appoint a select committee so that the families of the victims and the American people can get the answers they have been begging for since the terrorist attack took place.

A year after Secretary Clinton’s testimony, the fight continues for answers. We won’t give up the fight, and we ask you to continue to stand with us in demanding the truth. Please take a moment to watch and share our short video on Hillary Clinton’s callous comments and continue to keep the victims’ families in your thoughts and prayers. They deserve better than lies and deflections from America’s leaders.
