Kabul, December 04 (QNA) – At least 27 Taliban militants were killed in joint operations launched by Afghan security forces and the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan (ISAF) during the past 24 hours in different regions of the country.
Afghanistan’s Interior Ministry said in a statement today that Afghan forces carried out with ISAF several joint operations in the country killing 27 Taliban militants, wounding six and arresting four others.
The statement added that operations took place in Kabul, Uruzgan, Paktia, Laghman, Kandahar, Zabul and Helmand provinces.
Large quantities of heavy and light weapons were seized during the operations.
However, the statement did not say if there were any casualties on the security forces. (QNA)
