McCain 'Very Concerned' About More 'Horrendous' 'Bloodshed' in Egypt

On Sunday’s edition of Fox News Sunday, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said he was “very concerned about increased violence in Egypt” in the coming weeks.

He said since President Barack Obama refused to call the removal of Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi a “coup,” it is difficult for America to tell Egyptians to observe the rule of law and the Constitution.

McCain said he feared more “bloodshed” in the coming weeks in Egypt that will be “horrendous.”

McCain, along with Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), traveled to Cairo this week. The Muslim Brotherhood has called for rallies against Egypt’s military government this weekend, and Egypt’s current military government is threatening to use force against the protesters.
