John McCain: Senate Will Ask Hillary About Benghazi Survivors

Senator John McCain (R-AZ), a former member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, told Breitbart News Tuesday that when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton testifies on Wednesday about the failures to adequately protect the U.S. mission in Benghazi, Libya, she will be asked about the individuals who survived the deadly September attack.

Four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, were killed when terrorists attacked the poorly secured U.S. diplomatic compound.

Clinton will testify before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee at 9 AM and the House Foreign Affairs Committee at 2 PM. McCain recently joined the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in the new Congress.

McCain echoed his colleague and Armed Services Committee member Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who told Breitbart News in late December that the State Department has been “stonewalling” information from Congress on Benghazi survivors. Graham wants the FBI to release their interviews with these persons.

Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) brought to light in mid-December that the State Department would not give him answers about Americans who survived the Benghazi attack, when first asked by Breitbart News.

In a followup interview with Fox News Channel’s Greta Van Susteren, Chaffetz claimed injured Benghazi survivors were evacuated to Tripoli on the night of the attack.
