While Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman are defending cease-fire arrangements with Hamas, the Muslim Brotherhood says now is the time for Palestinians to rise up and wage “holy war” against Israel.

In other words, even as Israeli officials justify letting Hamas off the hook for now, the Muslim Brotherhood is urging Hamas to take advantage of Israel’s complacency and launch bold military strikes.

This message was delivered by Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood leader Mohammed Badie one day after the cease-fire between Israel and Hamas was settled. By intimating that the cease-fire and all other “peace accords” are a ploy by which Israel seeks control of the Palestinian people, Badie warned that Hamas and the Palestinian people at large are being blinded by a “grand deception.”

To put it another way: Hamas is not to abide by the cease-fire, rather they are to use it to their advantage.
