It is being reported that former CIA Director David Petraeus will testify before the House and Senate Intelligence Committees after all.

Whereas he was originally scheduled to testify in person on Thursday, it now appears he will testify off-site on Friday.

When Petraeus last spoke regarding Benghazi (Sept. 14), he gave testimony that was at odds with the rest of the intelligence community. He described the Sept 11 attack as “spontaneous” whereas the FBI and National Counterterrorism Center had described it as “premeditated.”

Charles Krauthammer has theorized that Petraeus only did this because he was in the difficult spot of trying to keep his affair under wraps and also trying to keep his job: He appeased the Obama administration in an effort to accomplish both ends.

But everything has changed now, and in October Petraeus traveled to Benghazi and investigated the attack for himself. It is believed he can shed light not only on what happened on 9.11.12, but also on what happened in the days leading up to the attack.

The question is: will he tell what he knows?
