Obama eventually found time to talk with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — not in person but on the phone.
President Obama called Netanyahu after the Israeli PM publicly demanded red lines on Iran during his speech at the UN. Yet in the phone call, Obama simply reiterated his earlier position; no red lines will be set.
The two leaders discussed a broad enough array of issues that when they got off the phone, the Obama administration was able to claim they “are in full agreement on the shared goal of preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.”
Full agreement or not, Obama basically told Netanyahu there will be no red lines for you.
Israel is on their own as long as Obama is president.
