It’s public knowledge that the U.N. is currently negotiating an Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) ostensibly aimed at preventing guns from crossing borders. It is also known that the Obama administration is taking part in these negotiations and that the treaty will, if ratified, eventually require gun registration in the U.S.
I wrote on this on July 5.
But what’s changed since my first post on this treaty is that Iran has been named to the group overseeing the ATT conference. In other words, a country which the U.N. security council has denounced for nuclear violations is being allowed to oversee treaty talks that will, if ratified, eventually require gun registration in the U.S.
But it gets even crazier. As CNSnews has pointed out, even as Iran oversees a treaty to stop other countries from allowing firearms to cross borders, it ignores the U.N. Security Council prohibition against sending weaponry to Syria.
The bottom line: In a real sense, the rights of law-abiding Americans are being subjected to the whims of an Iranian regime that is lawless. Nothing good can come of this.
