In a recent post about military censorship of news of two Marine casualties in a January 18, 2012, suicide bomber attack on Kajaki Sofla bazaar (“COIN Claims Another Two Casualties in Afghanistan”), I referred to a October 31, 2011 IED explosion in the region that critically wounded Lcpl. Brian Felber. On second reference, I mistakenly referred to Felber as dead. He is alive and in treatment for the injuries he sustained in the blast, which left him without legs. A second Marine, Cpl. Scott Casimiro, was injured in the same IED explosion. He is now blind in one eye and has sustained severe hearing loss.
