Campaign Activists, Russian Style

December means parliamentary elections in Russia, and Vladimir Putin’s United Russia party is campaigning with, well, activists. ACORN, Code Pink, or even the Tea Party they are not. To show their support for the “domestic Russian auto industry,” a group of Putin “activists” recently washed cars in a United Russia campaign event. A photo follows. And they say American electioneering lacks substance?!
