Former UN Ambassador and Senior Fellow at AEI, John Bolton expresses his worries that the base line $500 billion in cuts for the upcoming fiscal year will have immediate and staggering consequences for US national security. These cuts will both embolden the malicious ambitions of our enemies and weaken our ability to defend ourselves abroad. Ambassador Bolton also calls for the Tea Party to recognize the serious threat that these cuts will have for the safety and well being of Americans across the globe. The budget negotiations failed to protect our security as well as failed to uphold Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution, which outlines the need for strong national defense. Lastly, Bolton discusses the Law of the Sea Treaty and how putting American resources under the authority of an international court is extremely risky business.
