FoxNews.com published an article on July 1 entitled, “Halt to Deportation of Citizen’s Same-Sex Partner Draws Fire” (HT: The Core Report). The article says the executive branch has ignored the law and allowed a foreign invader to remain in our nation, recognizing the male invader’s “marriage” to an American man.
And as leftists always do, they justify this blatant defiance of the law by saying they are correct for doing so. FoxNews.com reports:
In a statement to FoxNews.com, Evan Wolfson, founder and president of Freedom to Marry, hailed the government’s decision.
“Freedom to Marry applauds the U.S. government for bringing an end to this deportation process, which threatened to cruelly separate a couple who, like so many others, fell in love, made a lifetime commitment to one another, and got married — but because they are gay, were denied the normal family immigration protections afforded other married couples,” Wolfson said, while calling for the repeal of DOMA.
Steve Ralls, a spokesman for Immigration Equality, said federal immigration officials have seemingly indicated that separating immigrant spouses of lesbian and gay Americans should not be a priority.
“That’s good news, and we will watch to make sure it is repeated in other cases, but there must also be explicit guidance from the White House declaring a moratorium on those deportations,” Ralls said in a statement to FoxNews.com. “The Justice Department is correct that DOMA is unconstitutional. Now it should stop using an unconstitutional law to rip families apart.”
I thought the destruction of marriage wasn’t supposed to hurt anyone?
Peter LaBarbera of Americans for Truth analyzes the same story (as reported by The New York Times). LaBarbera points out another way in which “gay marriage” will be used to bludgeon America and hasten its doom:
“Are we going to let in anybody from a foreign country where there is a sodomy law or where they don’t allow homosexual marriage?” he wonders. “Are we going to be letting in all these homosexual activists from countries around the world that don’t have liberal attitudes on homosexuality?”
The Times article does point out that this decision could open the door to the cancellation of other homosexual illegal aliens’ deportation.”
In other words, be prepared for the left to open the doors to sodomites from around the world under the guise that they are “asylum seekers” needing to get away from oppression. In fact, the left is already using this method. And if you think conservatives are demonized now for opposing the invasion and colonization of America, just think how bad we’ll be vilified for, “Wanting to torture and murder homosexuals all over the world by making them live under oppressive regimes where their lives are even worse than they are here under the Christian Taliban!”
One final thing: although I’ve never suggested otherwise, I’ve been told repeatedly that I must follow the law that repealed morality from the Armed Forces even as I disagree with it. That being said, why doesn’t the highest level of the executive branch have to obey laws it disagrees with as well?
