Mohammad Mamdouh and Ahmed Serhani Arrested in Terrorist Plot Against NYC Synagogue; AP Neglects to Name Them in Report

Strangely, in this report from the Associated Press, the names of the suspects are not revealed. We repeat, their names are Mohammad Mamdouh and Ahmed Serhani. Strange that AP did not mention this in the report.

Here is the entire report from the AP:

Two men are in custody in an alleged terror plot against a New York City synagogue.

That’s what a person familiar with the case tells The Associated Press. The person says the men could face state terrorism charges.

Two law enforcement officials confirmed the arrests; one of the officials says the FBI was consulted about the case and declined to pursue it.

The three people weren’t authorized to speak publicly about the case and spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity.

Officials were expected to provide more details later Thursday.

New York City police have been on high alert for threats to the city since the U.S. raid that killed al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden over a week ago.

The New York Times had the names and published them ten hours ago, according to the site’s posting time stamp.
