Frank Gaffney: Shutting Down Gitmo Is Not A National Security Policy

Today on Frank Gaffney’s Secure Freedom Radio, Frank enumerates the political battles that lead to the defeat of President Obama’s Gitmo policy. The premise that the facility’s impact on America’s image in the world hurt our national security was central to the national security leg of Obama’s campaign. This politicization of our national security is what led to the attempt to try Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in New York City. It is also what has led the the administration to throw in the towel on pursuing civilian trials for the 9/11 conspirators. It is a sad comment on the state of our Union when a political defeat for our president is a victory for our national security.
