“A U.S. immigration official was shot dead and another agent wounded in Mexico Tuesday afternoon.

Jaime Zapata was killed while travelling with an as yet unnamed colleague in the central San Luis Potosi area when they stopped at what may have appeared to be a military checkpoint, officials said.

The Mexican Army claimed it has no such checkpoints in the area.”
