Idiot Looters in Egypt: Steal Gift Shop Trinkets, Not Priceless Artifacts

It’s hard to be lighthearted about the terrible violence in Egypt. People are being killed, property destroyed, and widespread looting is taking place. But apparently at least some of the looters in Egypt need an IQ check. According to newspaper accounts, looters and thieves broke into Cairo’s world famous museum, but instead of taking priceless artifacts, they took trinkets from the gift shop thinking they were more valuable. Good news for world culture and the museum. But remember: if democracy actually comes to Egypt, these people will get to vote.
