Russia is making clear that if you fail to prevent terrorist attacks, you will lose your job. That’s at least what happened to two senior officials who were responsible for security related to transportation and airports. They get the ax after the suicide attack on Moscow’s Domodedovo airport last month that killed 36. Hello, Washington? TSA, Homeland Security, CIA, are you there? I can’t recall anyone losing their job in the aftermath of attacks leveled against the US, or spectacular intelligence failures. The Times Square attempted attack, for example, failed only because of an incompetent terrorist. But no one was held accountable. What am I missing?
