The global elite gather in Davos, Switzerland this week. Basic Membership at the World Economic Forum costs $52,000. A ticket to the actual gathering is another $19,000. Ostensibly the event is about solving the world’s problems. Black Swan author Nassim N. Taleb is more accurate when he describes the event as “chasing successful people who want to be seen with other successful people. That’s the game.”
