This is the cover from the latest issue of al Qaeda’s magazine for English speaking jihadist. You won’t find any links to this magazine in this piece. In a previous issue of Inspire readers were reminded to view the magazine on web sites that monitor jihadist activities to avoid detection by law enforcement and intelligence agencies. Finding the magazine on the Internet will also lead to a dead end unless of course you have connections to al Qaeda.
The magazine was “inspired” by Anwar al-Awlaki a U.S. citizen born in 1971 to parents from Yemen. His father was here serving on a diplomatic post. The current issue is 67 pages in length and is well put together. Some of the article titles are “The call of the Qur’an,” “Destroying Buildings,” “Training with the AK” is listed as a new series “to train on the use of the Kalashnikov.” Our own Adam Pearlman, AKA Adam Gadahn, who was born in Oregon of American parents wrote the article “Know that Jihad is your duty.”
This quote from Osama Bin Laden’s address to America in 2004 appears above the article outlining the reasons America deserved 9/11.
Two other articles answer the urgent questions, “Why did I choose al Qaeda?” and “Which is better: Martyrdom or Victory?” The answer to those questions is fairly easy for me. You choose al Qaeda because fanatics who are still living in the seventh century have deceived you. Along those same lines you believe “martyrdom” is better than “victory” because that is the only way you will enter paradise and be presented with seventy-two virgins. Any rational person would never believe such nonsense especially coming from a religion.
These people are fanatics and cannot be trusted; they could be anyone in your own community. They are the cause of “Islamophobia” the Quran specifically tells them to deceive their enemies and when their guard is down destroy them.
Here are three of the letters to the editor:
I would like to congratulate you on this fine production, Inspire Magazine, asking Allah Almighty for its continued success in the service of Islam, and Jihad. I pray to Allah to grant us victory against all the enemies of Islam and guide those who are astray to the right path.
May Allah bless your jihadi efforts and protecting the weak and bringing honor to our Islamic ummah. I wanted to comment on how great this magazine is and how much of an inspiration it has become to me and many of the young men and women who read it. May Allah bless you and the brothers everywhere.
The release of your majestic magazine brought tears to my eyes, brothers. I cannot convey how excited I am to see such wonderful words pour from the page like the blood from a kafir. The words are blessed by Allah, and will give much strength to the brothers here among the Americans.
There is also a page that lists responses to the magazine from the media and government officials: Representative Peter Hoekstra who serves on the House Intelligence committee was quoted as saying: “It was an unfortunately well-done magazine and a virtual how-to guide for becoming a terrorist.”
Another U.S. citizen, Samir ibn Zafar Kahan, born in Riyadh Saudi Arabia of Pakistani parents became a U.S. Citizen after his parents moved to Queens in 1993 when he was about five years old. Apparently he received his indoctrination to radical Islam through a Mosque in Queens sponsored by the Islamic Organization of North America. He writes in an article titled “The Central Issue”: “The central issue is that jihad is individually obligatory on all Muslims from East to West until all of our lands are freed. The issue of jihad being fard’ayn (a term which means a requirement of every Muslim) is the fulcrum of the modern jihad. The world is witnessing the rise of jihadi’s because of the very fact that Muslims are becoming more aware of the central issue, and thus their obligation towards God.”
Some quotes found throughout the magazine:
The best and purest form of income is booty…and the greatest profession is being a soldier in the path of Allah…income generated from booty taken by force…is purer and more virtuous than income generated from being a businessman, an engineer, a physician, or a farmer… Muslims are not bound by the covenants of citizenship and visa… All of our scholars agree on the permissibility of taking away the wealth of the disbelievers…whether by means of force or by means of theft or deception… one-fifth of it should be paid to the Amir to be spent on jihad. If a Muslim is allowed to deceive the disbelievers to appropriate their wealth then he is also allowed to deceive them to avoid paying them his wealth. In the case of the United States, both the government and private citizens should be targeted. Anyone who inflicts harm on them (Americans) in any form is doing a favor to the ummah (nation of Islam).
“Terrorism is not a bunch of crazy murderers running around: they are political operators, they have political objectives. I think it (rising popular sentiment against U.S. backed regimes) is growing bigger and I am afraid that the United States – as many superpowers before – don’t see the earth shaking under its feet until it is too late.” A quote from Ezzedine Choukri-Fishere, a former Egyptian Diplomat from the most recent edition of al Qaeda’s “Inspire” magazine.
In an interview on “Good Morning America” Attorney General Eric Holder said: “The threat has changed from simply worrying about foreigners coming here, to worrying about people in the United States, American citizens – raised here, born here, and who for whatever reason, have decided that they are going to become radicalized and take up arms against the nation in which they were born.” He also reported that 126 people in the last 2 years have been charged with terrorist related incidents and 50 of them are American citizens.
Certainly these comments only confirm what this magazine is about, recruiting English-speaking jihadists to commit terrorists acts and kill us kaffirs until the entire world submits to Allah. Should we be concerned?
