A New START for American Weakness and Russian Strength

With tactical nuclear weapons factored in, the New START treaty leaves the Russians with thousands more nuclear weapons than the United States. Russian tactical nukes are forward deployed and are used to intimidate our allies. The new treaty constrains our nuclear deterrent against threats from Iran, North Korea, and China. One of the worst false assumptions underlying this bad decision is that Russia is in some respect a reliable and honest partner.

The list goes on while it seems that nine Republican votes have been bought for the passage of the treaty. Secure Freedom Radio maintains that no one can make an honest and informed argument that the New START treaty, in its current form, augments U.S. national security.
