The All Volunteer Force

The United States Armed Forces are truly the greatest military that history has ever seen. Its intrinsic uniqueness stands on one foundation. That foundation is that its members volunteer to fight and defend the freedom and ideals of America. There has never been a better motivation or higher performing military. The uniqueness of our voluntary force has practical expressions in its culture and performance. The policy makers in Congress and in the White House have shown no consideration for these factors.
