John Bolton: Why the Big Rush On the New START treaty?

“Why are we negotiating a bilateral agreement with Russia on nuclear weapons limitations when the threat we face around the world is not just Russia but a resurgent China, North Korea, Iran, possibly other states with nuclear weapons…?” – Amb. John Bolton

If the START treaty that the Obama administration negotiated with Russia is so unquestionably good for our national security then why not wait for the further scrutiny of the new Congress? Won’t it be just as good for U.S. national security three months from now?
