On Nov 9, 2001 a 30′ steel Angel created by artist Lei Hennessy-Owen of Delivering Angels was presented at Ground Zero in a fairly secret reception attended by the NYC Fire Riders, First Responders, NYPD, NYC Fire Department and 9/11 families. For the past nine years she has been “hiding” in the JFK hanger along with other Ground Zero artifacts.
On 11/9/2010 at 12:00 noon FREEDOM’S ANGEL OF STEADFAST LOVE is coming out for her Ground Zero re-dedication and to begin her year-long national tour which will end on the 10 year anniversary of 9/11 in NYC. The event will go until 3:00pm.Lei Hennessy-Owen chose 11/9/10 for the event because it is the Angel’s 9 year birthday, and it is the exact opposite of 9/11. She intends the day to be about healing, love, and joy.
Along with the Angel, the original attendees from the 2001 dedication, and many others, Lei and PR Consultant Laura Onofrio will present Angel Awards to some rather exceptional countrymen who have quite literally put their lives, careers, and reputations in peril to selflessly deliver truth, hope, justice, and light to our hungry nation. Among the honored recipients is Andrew Breitbart of BigGovernment.com for his tireless efforts in exposing the lies and corruption so deeply embedded and running rampantly through the current administration.
