Andy McCarthy: Imam Rauf Was Never a Moderate

Today on Frank Gaffney’s Secure Freedom Radio, Andy McCarthy of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies lays out the historical pattern of Imam Rauf’s carefully crafted public image in contrast to his actual beliefs and goals.

We’ve had more of a light shined on his prior statements and prior history which is anything but moderate. What you come up with is the pretty standard Islamist tactic of saying one thing that is moderate in tone and that enthralls people that are desperate to be enthralled in the West and another quite different tone when he speaks to Muslim audiences.
