Pakistan's Double (or More) Game

I don’t think it would be news to anyone here that Pakistan’s intel service ISI plays both sides or more in dealing with us, the Taliban, al Qaeda, and the Afghans, plus they are always paranoid about India. The NY Times has a piece quoting Pakistan intel officials admitting that they picked up Taliban #2 Mullah Baradar specifically to disrupt nascent peace talks w/ the Afghan government. No kidding, and the folks at Russia Today TV remembered about six months ago they had me on saying exactly that. They brought me back today for a victory lap.

Here is the previous spot back in February where I talked about them trying to control any peace process. They are definitely still at it and putting out statements like they did admit it says they are probably a little worried. Oh, and by the way, anybody heard from Mullah Omar lately? Didn’t think so.
