Brother, can you spare $26,000?
Some of Jerry Brown’s friends sure can, but the endorsement of Jodie Evans (of the vehemently anti-American Code Pink) should be a giant wake-up call to the Los Angeles Iranian-American community.
To the hundreds of thousands Persian Americans living in LA, who fled Iran because of repression from the violent theocracy, have no fear, because according to Jodie Evans, Ahmadinejad is a man of peace. (Take that, Green Movement!) — but, then again, according to these friends and hosts of Jerry Brown, the Environmental Green Movement is the only one that matters.
Jodie Evans was such a toxic, reliable America-hater, she threw herself (metaphorically– but who knows?) into the arms of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. But Evans is more than just a useful idiot. Ahmadinejad has spoken repeatedly of “wiping Israel off the map,” and is in hot pursuit of nuclear weapons and the warheads to launch them with. He and his government trained and funded terrorist militias who target our troops in Iraq.
Naturally, after meeting him the first time, she gushed that Ahmadinejad is “really about peace and human rights and respecting justice.”
If there is anything that the 2008 elections should have taught us, it’s that a candidate more oft than not resembles the company they keep: Jodie Evans also supported Barak Hussein Obama’s candidacy in 2008, bundling between $50,000 and $100,000 for the campaign.
And, when Iranians took to the streets in an unprecedented act of defiance against a brutal theocratic regime, Jodie’s pal Obama used all his weight as “leader of the free world” to do exactly nothing.
