Immigration Legislation Does Not Improve Enforcement

Today on Frank Gaffney’s Secure Freedom Radio, Rosemary Jenks of Numbers USA cuts to the heart of the new legislative band-aid on border insecurity and finds substance lacking.

“This legislation is a band-aid. It is yet another band-aid. It is an attempt by the Democratic leadership in the Congress and the President to make it look like they are tough on illegal immigration when, in fact, they are not. They have rolled back enforcement over and over in every different way you can imagine. This bill essentially puts money into border patrol agents who are not right on the border. It puts money into facilities that are on the border but it does not actually solve the problem of un-cuffing the border patrol agents who are already trained and on the job and letting them do their jobs and it doesn’t do anything to increase or improve the enforcement that this administration has rolled back over the last two years.”
