Today on Frank Gaffney’s Secure Freedom Radio, Frank is joined by Andy McCarthy of National Review Online and author of The Grand Jihad. McCarthy cites a shocking new development broken by his colleague, Claudia Rosett of the Foundation for Defense of Democracy. It appears that Imam Rauf, the leader of the Cordoba Initiative, is currently on a State Department funded trip to the Gulf States. McCarthy elaborates, “It is evidently reported now that they are indeed using him as a United States government emissary on a trip to the Gulf Region, and this gets reported only a few days after Robert Gibbs said that the Obama Administration and the President in particular didn’t have any particular position on the Ground Zero mosque going forth.”
Later in the show, McCarthy discusses the controversial Dar al Hijra Mosque in Northern Virginia, “What I found very interesting about that, is that just like what we’re seeing with the Ground Zero mosque, is the State Department is enthralled with the Dar al Hijra mosque, so much so, that it actually features the mosque in a video that the State Department provided on its website last year… then you get what the State Department doesn’t report, that the guy is rabidly anti-Israel, talks in sermons and speeches about blowing up bridges and the like. We learn that it was the perch where Awlaki, the notorious al-Qaida recruiter who is now holed up in Yemen, actually ministered to a couple of the 9-11 hijackers and to the guy who carried out the Fort Hood Massacre, Major Hassan.”
