NEW YORK — New York Republican Congressional candidate Naomi Levin says that her opponent, Rep. Jerrold “Jerry” Nadler, “emboldened, empowered and enabled” Iran by supporting the Iran nuclear deal.
“This was seen as a betrayal to myself and to many people around me,” said Levin. She explained that Nadler’s support for the controversial nuclear accord was one of the motivating factors that drove her to seek office.
Nadler was the only Jewish Democrat from New York to endorse President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran.
Levin was speaking in an interview on this reporter’s Sunday night talk radio program, “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio,” broadcast on New York’s AM 970 The Answer and NewsTalk 990 AM in Philadelphia.

Levin called Nadler the “face of the establishment.” She warned that if elected, Nadler would lead efforts to impeach President Donald Trump.
If Democrats take control of the House after next month’s elections, Nadler would head the House Judiciary Committee, meaning he could potentially lead impeachment attempts against Trump.
Even though Trump has not committed any impeachable offense, Democrats have repeatedly made comments about potentially initiating impeachment proceedings. Nadler himself has been more careful, allowing that “impeachment should not be partisan.”
Addressing the topic last month, Nadler continued: “You have to be in a situation to undertake impeachment where you believe that once all the evidence is public, not a majority but a good fraction of the opposition voters who supported the president would say, ‘Well, they had to do it. It was the right thing to do.'”
Levin is running in Nadler’s 10th Congressional district, which encompasses the Upper West Side of Manhattan, the west side of Midtown Manhattan and the west side of Lower Manhattan, including the Financial District, which is the site of Ground Zero. The 10th district also includes sections of Brooklyn, notably Borough Park. Those areas all have large Jewish, traditionally pro-Israel populations, where foreign policy could be a factor.
