DC Comics’ Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot has made the cut and appeared for the first time on Forbes latest Highest Paid Actress List.
The Israeli star walked in at number 10, thanks to her role as Wonder Woman. While she only made a reported $300,000 for the first movie, she signed a new contract for Wonder Woman 1984. Her acting career coupled with lucrative deals with brands like Revlon and Reebok helped Gadot earn $10 million this past year.
Gadot was the only actress on the 2018 list who hasn’t appeared in the past.
Forbes said her Wonder Woman sequel payday plus endorsement deals from Revlon and Reebok boosted her earnings and landed her in their annual ranking.
No. 1 on the list went to Jewish actress Scarlett Johansson, who stole the show with an estimated $40.5 million earned in the past 12 months, mostly due to her role as Black Widow in the Avengers film series.
According to Forbes, the earnings estimates are “based on data from Nielsen, ComScore, Box Office Mojo and IMDB, as well as interviews with industry insiders.” Actual salaries for blockbuster films are rarely made publicly available.
