The Times of Israel reports: Palestinian protests erupted across the West Bank, East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip on Thursday, as Palestinian raged against US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel in a speech the previous day.
At various locations around the West Bank hundreds of Palestinians held demonstrations against the move, setting fires, chanting and clashing with troops. Demonstrators in Gaza burned posters of US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, as well as Israeli and US flags.
The Red Crescent ambulance service said that seven Palestinian rioters were injured by Israeli rubber bullets and an eighth was reportedly wounded by live fire in West Bank clashes. Dozens of others were treated for tear gas inhalation. In a confrontation along the security fence opposite the Gazan city of Khan Younis one Palestinian was also reportedly in the leg and two others suffered from tear gas inhalation.
