Ynetnews reports: A prison doctor was called to the cell of former prime minister Ehud Olmert Tuesday afternoon after he was reported to have fallen sick. After conducting preliminary checks, the doctor decided that he should be transferred to Tel Hashomer hospital for further treatment.

Olmert, who has served two-thirds of his 27-month sentence for corruption-related charges, is expecting to receive a ruling on Thursday on whether he will get out of jail early.

The State Prosecutor’s Office issued a statement on Sunday, referring to the police search of the Yedioth Ahronoth Publishing Thursday, in search of sensitive information on matters of national security that may be included in the upcoming book of the former prime minister.
