The Algemeiner reports: JNS.org — The Israeli government has announced that it finished upgrades to the electronic security fence between Israel and Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula.
The height of the 150-mile fence — which runs from Gaza to Eilat — was raised 10 feet in an effort to further curb illegal migration, drug and weapons smuggling, as well as terrorist infiltration.
Since the fence was first erected in 2014, the number of illegal migrants from Africa to Israel was significantly slashed, from hundreds every month to only a total of 213 in all of 2015.
