The Times of Israel reports: At least 15 people are trapped in a collapsed structure Monday in northern Tel Aviv. Six construction workers walked out of the rubble in the minutes following the collapse.
One was taken to Tel Aviv’s Ichilov Hospital in serious condition. The other five, with light to moderate wounds, were taken by the Magen David Adom rescue service to Tel Hashomer and Beilinson hospitals, the service said.
Those who remain under the rubble are also construction workers, according to authorities.
The incident took place on the corner of Habarzel and Hanehoshet streets in Tel Aviv’s Ramat Hahayal neighborhood.
Ichilov Hospital has announced it had gone on emergency footing for a multiple casualty incident.
Initial reports suggest the collapse may have resulted from the fall of a construction crane belonging to the Danya Cebus company.
