QALANDIA (PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES) (AFP) – Israeli police shot dead two Palestinians who approached a checkpoint between east Jerusalem and the West Bank on Wednesday, one of them brandishing a knife, a spokeswoman said.
“The Arab suspects advanced on foot to the Qalandia checkpoint,” police spokeswoman Luba Samri said, saying a female suspect was carrying the knife.
“Police ordered them to stop a number of times without success.
“The suspects continued quickly in the direction of the police forces,” she said, leading them to open fire and kill them.
