TEL AVIV – More Israelis believe Hillary Clinton will be better for Israel than Donald Trump, while the majority of Israelis (51%) believe that any of candidate is preferable to President Barack Obama as far as the Jewish state is concerned.
According to a TNS poll taken for Channel 1 that was broadcast Sunday night, only 8% said they think the next president will be worse for Israel.
26% believe there will be no change, and 15% said they do not know.
An overwhelming majority of Israelis – some 68% — said they viewed Hillary Clinton favorably while 14% responded unfavorably.
43% said they had a positive view of Trump, while 37% said they had a negative view of him.

Israelis have been unsupportive of Obama throughout his presidency. A poll sponsored by The Jerusalem Post in August 2009 found that only 4% believed his administration was more pro-Israel than pro-Palestinian.
A WIN/Gallup International poll taken in December in 64 countries around the world and the Palestinian Authority found that Obama’s favorability was fifth lowest among Israelis after Russia, the PA, Pakistan and Armenia, the Post reported.
