JERUSALEM – A Palestinian Authority school hosted a basketball game this month named after the terrorist Dalal Mughrabi, who perpetrated the worst terror attack in Israel’s history, killing 37, including 12 children.

The Palestinian daily Al Quds, in an article translated by Palestinian Media Watch, noted the auspicious coincidence that ties the terrorist’s death, the basketball victory, and Palestinian Women’s Day to the same date:

“The Rosary Sisters’ High School rightfully won the Martyr Dalal Mughrabi Cup on the anniversary of her death as a martyr that coincides with Palestinian Women’s Day, March 11,” the article from March 23 said.

The terror-glorifying game was held under the auspices of the head of the PA Education Ministry’s Directorate of Education, Bassam Erekat.

The Dalal Mughrabi Cup was co-organized by a Palestinian NGO, the Al-Razi Cultural and Social Association, that seeks to promote “intercultural dialogue across the Euro-Mediterranean region,” and “build trust and improve mutual understanding.”

Deputy-Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee and Head of the PA Olympic Committee, Jibril Rajoub, previously sponsored a table tennis tournament named after the same terrorist.

In January, Breitbart Jerusalem reported that Mughrabi was honored by a Fatah official on PA TV as a role model for young Palestinian women.

More recently, Rajoub sponsored another table tennis tournament named after the murderer Muhammad Halabi, who stabbed two Israelis to death in October 2015, kicking off the latest wave of terrorism.

Another Palestinian Authority school held a tournament named after two terrorist stabbers with participating teams named after an additional four terrorists who attacked Israelis, PMW reported.
