Despite some international criticism, Israel remains steadfast in its policy of demolishing the homes of terrorists as a creative effort to deter terrorism.

Ynetnews reports:

The home of Muhannad Halabi, who carried out a deadly stabbing attack in Jerusalem in October, was demolished early Saturday morning, the IDF Spokesperson announced.

Halabi, who murdered Rabbi Nehemia Lavi and Aharon Bennett close to Lions Gate in the Old City, was from Surda village in the Ramallah area of the West Bank. He was shot dead at the scene of the stabbing by Border Police officers.

Halabi, 19, was a member of Islamic Jihad and his attack is thought of as one of the incidents that sparked the current escalation. The day prior to the attack, Halabi rwote on his Facebook wall: “As far as I can see the third intifada has erupted. What is happening at Al-Aqsa (mosque) is happening to our holy places.

“I don’t think that people will put up with the humiliation. They will join the intifada,” the post continued.
