WATCH: One Direction Hanukkah Mash-Up Storms Internet

A Hanukkah-themed medley of One Direction hits has gone viral – and is set to brutally expose the generation gap in homes across North London.

The Hanukkah mash-up was the brainchild of New York filmmaker Erez Cohen, and features several of the Big Apple’s Jewish a cappella groups singing specially adapted versions of the teen idols’ songs. See the video below:

Spoof lyrics include “Yeah, eight night party for the Jews/Flipping latkes me and you/So tonight/Let’s play dreidel dreidel dreidel till we see the sun!” – sung to the tune of “Live While We’re Young” – while “Story of My Life” is parodied as “Story of My Life”.

Members of Cohen’s ensemble are decked out in an impressive array of seasonal knitwear – and one even does an acrobatic turn as a rollerblading dreidel.
