Tel Aviv – Official Palestinian Authority television PA TV broadcast a girl reciting a poem with the words, “Our enemy, Zion, is Satan with a tail,” Palestinian Media Watch reported.
It is not the first time that the hate-filled poem has been recited on PA TV. Over the past year, PMW counted four separate occasions of children repeating the poem. The “poet” himself, an Egyptian named Heshem El-Gakh, was also invited by the Palestinian Ministry of Culture to perform it at an event at which he received an award from the PA.
The poem reads:
“When I was young I was taught that Arabness is my honor…
And that our lands extend from one end to the other,
And that our wars were for the Al-Aqsa Mosque,
And that our enemy, Zion, is Satan with a tail
And that our nation’s armies are outstanding.”
After the girl finished reciting, the host of the children’s program thanked her and expressed how much she likes the poem.
This latest recital comes two weeks after Mahmoud Al-Habbash, Supreme Sharia judge and Islamic advisor to PA President Mahmoud Abbas, preached in the PA’s official Friday sermon that Jews are “evil” and that Israel is “Satan’s project.” The sermon was followed by Fatah spokesman in Jerusalem, Raafat Alayan, who repeated the Koranic description of Jews as “the sons of apes and pigs.”
