An Islamic street preacher has vowed to “continue to fight you police officers” after being found guilty of the religiously aggravated abuse of a woman he labelled a “slut” and “prostitute” for wearing tight jeans.
The 31-year-old unemployed Birmingham man also threatened his victim, a Muslim who had been listening to a Christian preacher, saying he would follow her home and “blow her up”, before accusing the police of “racism”.
Krissoni Henderson was yesterday convicted of using “threatening words and behaviour” and “causing harm or distress” as well as a second offence, which was “religiously-aggravated”, at Birmingham Magistrates Court.
In court, he argued his victim had been trying to “seduce” him because he is “muscular and handsome”, the Birmingham Mail reports.
Video of Mr. Henderson shouting “Allah hu Akbar” at police after confronting the victim, Noor Alneaimi, on Birmingham’s New Street went viral this July. He was initially allowed to walk free, but was arrested the next day after the video caused outrage.
Body cam footage played in court of Mr. Henderson’s arrest at his home on July 5th shows him calling police officers “dirty filthy atheists” and “dirty devil worshipers”. He also branded the Queen as “a terrorist”.
And as seen in the video published by Birmingham Mail, the preacher also promised to “fight” the police outside court and attacked the judge, calling him “a black man from the tribe of Judah”.
Giving evidence in court, he said: “I do not judge anyone based on what they are wearing or what religion they follow. I am a peaceful man and I live a peaceful life.
“I had to stop being a preacher because I was always being convicted. I am muscular and handsome, [the victim] could have been trying to seduce me. I believe I was targeted that day because I was wearing a robe.”
Mr. Henderson’s wife, Daniella Henderson, wore tight jeans and also gave evidence in court. “I wear all sorts of clothes, tight fitting, loose, robes, sahri dresses and it makes no difference to him,” she said.
Prosecutor Simon Brownsey said: “You lost control, you were enraged. You called this lady a non-believer, that she was going to hell but that before she got there, you were going to blow her up.
“You said she was the devil because of the clothes she was wearing. She stuck up for herself, so you turned on her. You directed words towards police officers, human beings who are doing their jobs.”
Henderson will be sentenced on Tuesday, September 27th.
